Meet Dr. Telford

Dr. Telford was born in Kazakhstan and immigrated to the U.S. after completing high school. She attended medical school at Marshall University and continued medical training at University of Virginia in Internal Medicine. After completing internal medicine training Dr. Telford practiced general internal medicine for few years before pursuing further training in Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes at Duke University. Upon completion of fellowship training, she continued to practice general endocrinology while continuing to improve her knowledge base by obtaining additional certifications in Obesity and Lifestyle Medicine. 

She has particular interest in women's health, thyroid disease, bone health and diabetes management. 

Dr. Telford believes that communication is essential in relationships with patients and encourages and looks forward to patients’ questions.
